What You'll Do:
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple small business clients.
- Record and categorize financial transactions accurately.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Process payroll and reconcile payroll reports and liabilities.
- Complete bank, credit card, loan, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare and file sales tax, excise tax, and other routine compliance reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end bookkeeping tasks.
- Maintain organized and accurate accounting records.
- Communicate professionally with clients to answer questions and request needed information.
- Collaborate with teammates to ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.
- Identify discrepancies and work proactively to resolve issues.
What You'll Bring:
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field or equivalent successful bookkeeping experience (5 years +).
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience using QuickBooks Online.
- Experience processing payroll and reconciling payroll liabilities.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles (GAAP) and financial statements.
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple client deadlines and prioritize work effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to providing outstanding client service.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
Bonus Points For:
- QuickBooks ProAdvisor Certification.
- Experience with Gusto payroll.
- Experience with other cloud-based accounting systems (Xero, Zoho, POS systems, integrated Apps)
- Experience working in a bookkeeping or public accounting firm.
- Experience with bookkeeping cleanups and catch-up work.
- Familiarity with Washington State excise tax reporting.
