ABC Bookkeeping & Business Support is seeking a Seasonal Tax Preparer to support our team during the remainder of the 2025 tax extension season and the upcoming 2026 tax filing season. This position offers the opportunity to work part-time during extension season and transition to a full-time schedule during the regular tax filing season.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience preparing individual and small business tax returns and be committed to delivering accurate, timely, and client-focused service. We are looking for a team member who can build relationships with clients, work independently, and contribute to a collaborative and professional environment.

Our firm utilizes ProSeries Tax and TaxDome software. Preference will be given to candidates who are proficient with these applications.

Position Details:

Job Type: Seasonal

Expected Hours:

Part-time during the 2025 extension season (approximately August–October).
Full-time (35–40 hours per week) during the 2026 tax filing season (January–April).
Potential for continued seasonal employment in future tax seasons based on performance and business needs.

Schedule:

Flexible part-time schedule during extension season.
Full-time schedule during peak tax season.
Additional hours may be available based on workload and deadlines.

Compensation:

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of tax preparation experience.
Experience preparing individual and small business tax returns.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage deadlines and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
High ethical standards and professional conduct.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Ability to successfully pass a background and credit check.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency with ProSeries Tax software.
Experience using TaxDome or similar client management software.
Familiarity with cloud-based accounting and document management systems.

Work Location: In-Office Preferred (Gig Harbor, WA)

Remote work may be considered for highly qualified candidates who meet all technical requirements and demonstrate the experience and self-management skills necessary for a remote work environment.
